Coronavirus Pandemic: Anushka Sharma, Kartik Aaryan, Rajkummar Rao And Other Celebs Donate To The PM-CARES Fund

Bollywood celebs have come out to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi's fundraiser to help the country fight the novel Coronavirus. After Akshay Kumar, Anushka Sharma, Rajkummar Rao and others have made donations.

To help the country fight with the novel Coronavirus, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the creation of PM-Cares Fund and urged people to donate. From Bollywood, many celebrities have come out and done their bit. Akshay Kumar was the first one to take up the cause and donate Rs 25 crore to this fund. He made the announcement on Twitter and urged all to contribute as much as they can. Now we have stars like Anushka Sharma, Kartik Aaryan and others making their contribution.

Kartik Aaryan, today, replied to the PM on Twitter and pledged to donate 1 crore for the cause. He stated that he has reached this position because of the love and support extending by the masses and it is his time to support the citizens back who hailed him as a superstar. He wrote, “It is the absolute need of the hour to rise together as a nation. Whatever I am, whatever money I’ve earned, is only because of the people of India; and for us I am contributing Rs. 1 crore to the PM-CARES Fund. I URGE all my fellow Indians also to help as much as possible. "

Anushka Sharma along with husband Virat Kohli pledged to donate PM-CARES Fund and the Chief Minister's Relief Fund (Maharashtra) but they did not reveal the amount. On Twitter, she wrote, "Virat and I are pledging our support towards PM-CARES Fund & the Chief Minister's Relief Fund (Maharashtra). Our hearts are breaking looking at the suffering of so many & we hope our contribution, in some way, helps easing the pain of our fellow citizens #IndiaFightsCorona."


Rajkummar too took to Twitter to reveal his contribution to PM-Cares fund without actually revealing the amount. Ayushmann Khurana too did the same.






TV Stars like Rubina Dilaik and Arjun Bijlani too made their contributions.
